Nguyen Ba Vinh (“we,” “our,” or “us”) built the YouTube Screenshot Pro Chrome extension (“the Extension”) to help users capture screenshots from YouTube videos. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and is not) collected, stored, and shared when you use the Extension.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, or account details.
We do not collect financial or payment information.
We do not track your browsing history, location, or user activity.
We do not collect or transmit the contents of the websites you visit, including YouTube videos.

2. Local Storage of Settings

The Extension saves certain preferences locally on your device using the Chrome storage API. These preferences may include:

Screenshot format (PNG, JPEG, WebP)
Output method (save to file, copy to clipboard, or both)
Color filter selection
Option to include subtitles in screenshots
Watermark settings (logo image, position, size, opacity, padding)
“Save As” setting for downloads

These settings remain on your device only and are not transmitted to us or any third party.

3. How Screenshots Are Handled

Screenshots are generated directly in your browser.
You can choose to download the screenshot as a file or copy it to your clipboard.
Screenshots are never sent to our servers or shared with any external party.

4. Permissions Justification

The Extension requests the following permissions strictly to fulfill its single purpose (capturing YouTube screenshots):

activeTab & host permissions (YouTube only): To access the video element on YouTube pages.
scripting: To inject the screenshot UI and filters.
downloads: To save screenshots to your computer.
storage: To store user preferences locally.
clipboardWrite: To copy screenshots to your clipboard.

No other use of these permissions is made.

We do not sell, rent, or share any user information with third parties.
